1. Description of Service

HiFromShop is a Shopify app that allows merchants to:

• Upload video messages and associate them with Shopify orders
• Generate QR-code PDFs that link to those videos
• Manage custom orders and PDF design templates
• Deliver personalized video content to customers via scannable QR codes

The App integrates with your Shopify store via OAuth and the Shopify Admin API.

2. Shopify API and Data Access

• The App accesses your Shopify store data only through the Shopify Admin API using the scopes you grant during installation (typically read_orders, read_products, read_customers)
• The App does not modify your store’s orders, products, customers, or any other Shopify data
• Your Shopify access token is encrypted at rest and never exposed to third parties or your end users

3. User Responsibilities

As a merchant, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to upload and share any video content you store via the App
• Obtaining any necessary consent from your customers before sending them personalized videos
• Complying with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations in your jurisdiction
• Keeping your session credentials secure and not sharing your X-Session-ID with unauthorized parties
• Not using the App to store or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content

4. Content and Acceptable Use

• You retain all ownership rights to the video files and PDF templates you upload and create
• We do not claim any ownership over your content
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if we become aware of content that violates these terms or applicable law

5. Service Availability

• We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The App may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your data is retained as long as your store remains connected to the App
• You can disconnect at any time, which immediately deletes all your data from our systems
• If you uninstall the App without using the disconnect feature, your data is permanently deleted 48 hours after uninstallation (via Shopify’s shop/redact GDPR webhook)

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

• Shopify — for OAuth authentication and Admin API access
• AWS S3 — for storing video files
• Redis — for background job processing

We are not responsible for the availability or practices of these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
